"Cannot speak highly enough of this company! We decided to have the old cement render removed from our 1870s stone built house and have it replaced with lime render. We approached Jack of Afon Lime for a quote and we were immediately impressed with his professional attitude and knowledge so we decided to ask him to do the work. We made the right choice. Jack and his colleague Ben have been superb throughout. Really hard workers, skilful, respectful of our property, excellent communication throughout the job, so we always felt informed about what was happening. We changed our minds a couple of times along the way about exactly what we wanted to have done and the changes were accommodated without a murmur - nothing seems to have been too much trouble. The work is now nearing completion and we are so pleased with it! The house looks great and we've also noticed it's warmer inside which we assume is due to the interior of the walls not being damp anymore, as the lime render is allowing them to breathe. "We engaged Afon Lime to render our 400-year-old farmhouse, and they did a fantastic job. They removed the old concrete render and applied lime harling to the three weather-facing sides. During the process, some unexpected masonry issues cropped up, but Jack and the team were patient while we got those sorted. We’re really excited for Spring when we’ll paint the exterior in breathable paint to bring back the traditional Gower Red! The team also lime plastered several interior walls for us, including pointing an old doorway to create a stunning feature. We’re so pleased with how it all turned out. In fact, we’re even rethinking the layout of one room just so the lime plaster can be fully appreciated and not hidden by furniture. Jack and his team are clearly passionate about old buildings and doing the job right. Their care and attention to detail really show in the results."

"We are so pleased with the work the boys have done on the outside of our house. We bought an 1890's stone build, and there were issues with damp, caused by the rendering carried out 30 years ago. The boys came and looked at the property, as we wanted to get the outside sorted before starting the major work internally. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and really helpful with questions we had about the inside too! They even recommended a fantastic joiner to make new windows and door for us. They kept us updated on what they were doing and asked before completing extra work that needed carrying out, as some things weren't visible until the rendering came off. They also explained why they were doing things. The initial job should have taken 12-16 weeks, however due to weather and other factors, it took longer. However, we are extremely pleased with the final result, and will be asking them to come back for further projects."
