"After deciding we would like the roof replaced due to some tiles falling off into the back garden (battens and tiles replaced) we called Simon to come and quote for the job. He indicated that replacing the roof was not required and Anvil could do a local fix however we still wanted to replace the roof as we wanted to minimise the risk of tiles falling off with children in the back garden. Simon then came up with the cost saving options of only replacing the back of the roof (next to the garden) and reusing the existing slate tiles, and the option of using slate hooks to make the roof as secure as possible - all of these options we went for. The job itself went well. As the roof was removed Simon noticed some missing insulation and sorted that which was greatly appreciated as otherwise I would have had to pull the ceiling down inside. He also removed some bricks from a previously removed chimney which was left too high allowing a proper rafter to be installed and the tiles to site flat to the roof. Another appreciated item was installing overlapping ridge tiles so they can be easily removed and reinstalled if we get the front roof replaced. Communication was good throughout (I think all messages were answered within the day). Thanks Anvil"

"I had been trying unsuccessfully for more than year to find a company which would undertake future proofing of a 110 square metre flat roof. Then I found Simon who took on the task. He was able to plan and organise the whole project- scaffolding, PV removal and reinstatement and fitting additional insulation and a single ply Protan membrane. A number of challenges occurred which Simon took in his stride. This was the easiest building project I have ever experienced, and there have been a few. Simon and his team were a delight to have on site. The combination of expertise, workmanship, and customer service exceeded expectations by some distance!"
